What?
To offer effective solutions, my practice combines Western and Eastern approaches to health and functional diagnostics. In practice, this means combining modern
knowledge of biology (physiology, anatomy, biomechanics) with Eastern teachings on life energy or chi (energy
meridians and centers).
This systemic approach has become known as Applied Kinesiology.
Why?
While modern medicine focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases, the aim of kinesiology is to support and analyze a person's functional state and capacities. This may involve corrections to posture and movement, supporting normal reflexes and muscle tone, as well as improving energy levels and resilience to physical, biochemical and psycho-social stressors.
Combined, the effects of these practices are systemic and support the body's energetic reserves and renewal. In a non-intrusive way, this also facilitates the healing of many specific weaknesses or disorders.
How?
The methods employed are based on muscle tone and pulse diagnostics. This is because changes in
tone and pulse are good indicators of your condition - both physiologically and psychologically. This helps in planning optimal therapies and evaluating their effectiveness in real time. Hence, problems can be addressed in a way that is consistent with your general constitution and specific condition at
the moment (see: Services).
Triad of Health
We pay equal respect to the physical, energetic, and mental aspect of health, in line with the Triad of Health model. This model indicates that in any challenge, one or more factors can be involved and lead to functional imbalance or disease. Sometimes, a difficulty starts in one aspect of the Triad, but over time shifts its focus or involves the others, too.
Accurate diagnostics enables to evaluate this and to direct therapy where it's most needed. This is critical for our practice, since
... almost any challenge can have a physical, as well as energetic or emotional cause - requiring different methods of balancing. Book now
For this reason, our approach is systemic and addresses all aspects of the Triad of Health.
About me:
I am an applied kinesiologist with a background in life sciences and psychophysiology.
Subsequent to the pandemic, I decided to turn my long-standing interest in human mind and biology into a full-time applied occupation by learning Applied Kinesiology and related therapies. After numerous rewarding years in academic research, this was less of a "break with the past" and more of a continuation of prior preoccupations in new settings.
Thus, complementing prior research, I studied for two years
(2021–2023) at the Kinesiology Institute in California, USA (https://kinesiologyinstitute.com), with some of the
best specialists in the West. Currently, I continue this line of study with the Ukrainian Association of Applied Kinesiology and Medical Rehabilitation (remote
learning) led by Prof. L. Vasiljeva (https://ua-pk.com/).
In academic research, I worked in the fields of psychophysiology and theoretical biology (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Andres-Kurismaa).

Currently I am dedicated to developing the services of Bioscan & Balance.
